Reminiscent of mountain retreats and woodland cabins, the cosy cabincore trend is all about escaping the cold and creating a warm sanctuary from the great outdoors. The hugely popular aesthetic is perfect for this time of year, and our latest collection, Chapter Three: Weekends at the Cabin, celebrates everything the cabincore trend has to offer.
Here, we’re sharing some of our favourite cabincore-inspired tips to help transform any space into a snuggly retreat. From using warm and earthy colour palettes to adding soft textiles or rustic accessories, it’s all about creating a welcoming atmosphere that evokes a feeling of being nestled in an off-grid cabin in the wilderness.
Nature-Inspired Tones & Heritage Patterns
An essential element of the cabincore aesthetic is the use of natural, earthy hues and check patterns. These timeless colourways and designs add a sense of warmth and nostalgia to any space. Earlier this month, we revealed our latest forest-inspired colours, and now we’re excited to launch our five new linen colours in woven heritage check fabrics, delivered in a rich, autumnal colour palette: Fern Green, Berry, Taupe, Laurel Green and Natural.
Cosy Cottons for Chilly Nights
Brushed cotton is known for its softness and warmth, and is a great choice for chilly winter nights. After stepping into the world of cotton last summer, we’ve expanded our cotton range this season with our brushed cotton bedding in four versatile hues, Clay, Thistle, Alabaster and Olive Green, as well as a checkered print in Fern Green.
Soft Wool Blankets
One of the simplest steps to incorporating the cabin aesthetic is by adding soft textiles to your space. Nothing says cabincore quite like a check blanket, whether as an extra layer on the bed, or styled on the sofa. This season’s checkered print is replicated in our new range of 100% merino wool blankets in Berry, Burnt Orange, Deep Teal and Fern Green, crafted by one of England’s oldest mills, Moon. We also have a limited collection of our hand-drawn Botanical Wool Blankets in Cinnamon and Dusk Blue.
Handcrafted Homewares & Accessories
To fully embrace the cabincore trend, use natural materials that evoke rustic textures found in the wilderness. Incorporate elements like stone, reclaimed wood, linen and wool to add depth to your space. This year, we’re partnering with a handful of British designers and makers to offer premium, handcrafted products including beautiful wooden kitchen accessories, ethically produced sheep wool rugs and woven merino wool hot water bottles. Keep a look-out for their upcoming release!
