We caught up with the lovely Poppy Deyes, a British designer and content creator, where she divulges her at-home must-haves, current favourite Piglet in Bed products and what interior trends we’re likely to see emerge over the coming months.
What does your home mean to you?
My home has, and always will be my safe space. I love nothing more than walking through the door and seeing the home that we’ve created, full of everything we love. Home is where I switch off and feel my most authentic, and that’s a pretty special feeling.
What's one thing you can't live without in your home?
Honestly, my mug collection is my favourite thing. We recently added new gingham pieces to Up To No Good, my homeware shop and they’re the absolute best.
In a nutshell, how would you summarise your interior style/taste?
To me, it’s a wonderful messy mix of new and old. I love nothing more than finding unique pieces at local car boot sales, or Antiques fairs. Finding one-off, handmade pieces is my favourite thing -I’m forever on the lookout!
Are you a morning lark or a night owl?
It kind of depends on the season but I’d say more of a morning lark. I like to tick off everything I need to get done in the day as early as possible, so I can really wind down in the evening.
What interior trends do you think we are likely to see emerge over the year ahead?
Hopefully even more gingham, chunky stripes, big over-the-top ruffled edges, vintage pieces and lots of lovely deep colours!
