Ingredients:
- x2 pre-rolled puff pastry sheets
- Chocolate spread of choice (enough to cover a sheet)
- x1 egg, whisked for egg wash
How to:
Pre-heat your oven to 180°C
Lay one sheet of puff pasty over a lined baking sheet and smother in chocolate spread.
Place the second sheet over the top to match up.
Using a cookie cutter (unless your knife skills include star creation), cut a star at the top of the pastry sheets. Then score a triangle from the sheets.
You can use the off cuts to create other festive shapes, or chocolate twists!
Score horizontal lines into each long side, about 2cm thick. Once you have scored down each side, twist each section.
Once each side is complete, cover your festive tree in egg wash. This will ensure your bake has a lovely golden colour once baked.
Place your creation into the oven for 15-20 minutes, depending how golden you like yours. Then once it's out, dust lightly with icing sugar.
